“Inclusion to me is Access for ALL, Education for ALL, Living for ALL. Being able to find the beauty, importance and worth in ALL.”
Dawn has over 26 years of experience in working with children and families. She has served as a program administrator for Early Childhood Family Education and School Readiness for her local school district in Minnesota. Her work at the school also had her involved with designing learning opportunities for people of all ages.
Dawn received her BS in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood and Parent Education. She then continued her love of learning and added certifications in Community Education and most recently added a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education.
Part of Dawn’s experience comes from having a son with disabilities. As a parent and educator, she wants to be able to bridge the knowledge between parents and schools and vice-versa. As a lifelong learner, she has always felt it a part of her personal and professional goals to assist in connecting people to the knowledge they need/want. She constantly educates herself, and loves getting connected when and where she can. She will be able to continue her practice of working closely with families, teachers, and administrators as a KIT Education & Training Specialist for Inclusive Schools.
