Welcome to Our Brand New Website!

Torrie looking at new inclusive websiteAfter months of pouring over web analytics, redesigning navigation, writing copy and sourcing images, we are so excited to introduce you to our brand new website! We were in real need of a site that was responsive to mobile devices, more accessible and also accurately reflects what KIT is doing today. And, on the eve of our 20th Anniversary year, we also wanted it to have a sense of where we’ve been. So, we’ve included lots of content about why we do what we do (see Why Inclusion), how we do it (see What We Do) and the story behind the work (see Who We Are). Don’t forget to check out our blog, which now lives embedded in our website.

It turns out that when you are busy trying to change the world, getting around to redesigning your website is difficult. So, I am extremely grateful to our KIT team (Tammy Bailey, Chief Marketing Officer, Sasha Perkins, Digital Content Producer, Joelle Tanguay, Graphic Designer) and our partners at Vitro (Rachel, Jenn, Lisa, Andy, Scott and the rest of the gang) who worked so diligently to create this beautiful, modern site. I’ve enjoyed being a part of the process, and I thank them all for giving me the opportunity to watch them at work.

I hope that you’ll take some time to really explore the site. We’ve built in lots of fun goodies for you throughout. I hope that you learn how KIT started, and that you meet the team that works so hard everyday, in communities around the world, to ensure that all kids are included. And, because we are KIT, and we like to have fun while we learn, I designed this fun Website Scavenger Hunt for you. If you complete all the tasks below and send an email with your answers to info@KIT.org with subject line “Website Scavenger Hunt,” we’ll send you a free KIT Swag Bag! Don’t forget to include your name and mailing address in your email! Have fun!

  1. What is the name of the KIT webinar coming up on October 26th?
  2. Which location where KIT has done training is the farthest away from where you live?
  3. What award did KIT win in 2011?
  4. Whose favorite animal is a sloth?
  5. Which page on the site contains an image of a cow?
  6. What is the name of the KIT Board President?
  7. Name one of KIT’s services.
  8. Name one corporate or foundation supporter.
  9. How much does a KIT Pass cost?

And, of course, we’d love to stay in touch! Please sign up on the site so we can stay connected, and do reach out if there is ever any way we can help you advance inclusive practices in your community.

Warmly,

Torrie Dunlap
