Thanks Dads
I wanted to send a virtual card to some very special people… Dads! We have so many KIT Dads who spend their time working or volunteering for KIT so all kids can have opportunity. I think that is definitely worth celebrating.
Thank you, KIT Dads on our staff and board, and those who work in our schools & child and youth programs, for all you do to help kids realize their full potential. Thank you for helping us create more and better inclusion for everyone. I hope you have a wonderful celebration this weekend – you deserve it!
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!
I also wanted to invite you to a special event next week. A few of our KIT Trainers will be leading a live chat on our Facebook feed on Wednesday, June 24th at 3 pm Pacific/6 pm Eastern. They will discuss their personal experiences with racism, how the current Black Lives Matter movement may affect children, and most importantly, how to talk to all kids about racism, diversity & equality. We’d love to have you join us, and we’d love to have you share the invite (from any of our social channels) with parents, teachers, and childcare providers you know. I am excited to attend and learn from my colleagues so I can be a better and more effective ally.
