Stay In Touch With KIT!

Hello, Friends & Happy April,

I hope you and your family are healthy and safe and adjusting to the new reality. These are trying times, and you may wonder what can fuel my passion when there isn’t much inclusion going on in the world. This week I am inspired by our KIT team and how they are making the best of a truly bad situation through their creativity, good humor, and just plain spunk. I hope you are following our KIT social media channels so you can see some of the fruits of their work.  If not, here are links to each platform so you can follow us and share with others:

And, as always, keep checking our website for other great updates, tools, resources and announcements.  You can find our website at www.kit.org.

One thing we are all learning is that there is a LOT of time to fill when you can’t leave your house. Here’s a Netflix recommendation for you. The new documentary Crip Camp, featuring Judith Heumann and other disability rights activists who found their voices together at a summer camp in the 1970’s, is available now. The reviews are wonderful and I think it would be a great addition to your watch list. It is rated R (teenagers and summer camp), so wait until the kids are asleep.

Take good care! I look forward to the day when we are all spreading the mission of inclusion in-person, in communities all over the world again!
