Kaeli Carew, MA
"To me, inclusion means ensuring every child feels like they belong—not just in the room, but in the heart of the community."
Kaeli Carew joined KIT in 2025 as a Support Specialist. In this role, she provides guidance and strategies to help staff create welcoming, inclusive environments for all children.
Kaeli’s professional journey began in early childhood as an ABA therapist in Austin, TX, and later expanded into K-12 education. She served as a Behavioral Specialist for K–8 students, then as a 504/MTSS Coordinator and Dean of Culture at a high school, where she developed restorative practices frameworks and helped shape KIPP Texas policies. Kaeli also led Behavioral Threat Assessments and most recently served as the Behavioral Health Coordinator at Mississippi State University. Her diverse experience spans working with children, young adults, school administrators, social workers, law enforcement, and educators.
Kaeli holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis.
As a former military child and now a military spouse, Kaeli understands the importance of belonging. Her passion for KIT’s mission is rooted in her personal experiences—she is deeply committed to creating spaces where every child feels seen, supported, and included, especially during times of transition.
In her free time, Kaeli enjoys going on walks with her spouse and dog, traveling, spending time with family, cooking, and discovering new coffee shops.
