Farewell Fiscal Year 2017-2018!

Hello! Friday marked the end of our KIT 2017-2018 fiscal year, a time when we like to tally up what we did over the past year. Y’all, we did a lot of inclusion training this year! Here are a few highlights:

And we…

formed a partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America!

We developed a behavior policy guide for Head Start programs in 6 states and rolled it out through a
4-day Training-of-Trainers event.

We worked with the US Army to develop inclusive practices guidance for youth sports
and resiliency through art.

We initiated our new Trends practice- which we used to influence South by Southwest Education (SXSWedu) to change the name of the “Special Needs” conference track to “Accessibility & Inclusion”!
It’s official! We did it!
And, we celebrated our 20th anniversary!

If you are reading this blog post, you helped advance inclusion for kids with and without disabilities this past year. Thank you for your energy and your commitment.

In FY 2018-2019 we’ll be expanding a lot. But, first, we rest. Next week we’ll go dark and come back rarin’ to go the second week of July (when our whole team will be together in San Diego!).

Warmly,

Torrie
