"Inclusion is an expansive way of being that mirrors the vastness of humanity."
Sasha Smith is thrilled to join the KIT team as the Inclusion Support Center Assistant! With a background in the arts, she knows the power that comes with embracing individuality and self-expression, which is why she feels inclusive practices and supports are vital to childhood experience.
After spending 8 years as a professional dancer in NYC, Sasha is now excited to launch a new chapter of her life and pursue another lifelong passion for mental health. As an advocate for mental health, Sasha volunteers with organizations such as Crisis Text Line and NAMI-NYC. To further her education, Sasha will be heading back to school in fall 2022 to pursue a master's degree in social work.
In addition to her artistic outlets of dance and writing, Sasha enjoys podcasting, boxing, biking around Brooklyn and cooking great meals with her partner.
