The Learning Management System Administrator is a member of the Content & Curriculum Team at Kids Included Together (KIT) and reports to the eLearning Director. The fully remote position will be the go-to person for everything in the LMS (LearnUpon).

In addition, as a techie, they will make edits in the KIT Academy LMS and Content Management System (KIT.org website), organize content, and ensure accessibility and ease of use for KIT end users. The LMS Administrator will have knowledge of commonly used instructional technology concepts, practices, reporting, and procedures. They will be able to QA and modify curriculum, create SOPs, create training courses, conduct onboarding for the LMS users, make updates and edits to Storyline (or other authored) files, make video edits, and manage the captioning services.



  • General Administration & Reporting

    • Provides LMS administrative support to the eLearning Director.
    • Attends KIT staff, LMS, vendor, and internal weekly eLearning Team calls.
    • Provides weekly system reports to the eLearning Director.
  • LMS Management
    • Leads LMS process improvements, problem solving, customer service, and vendor relationship management.
    • Provides general management, maintenance, and updates of all KIT Academy services.
    • Maintains 508 compliance/accessibility standards online including website(s), website content and LMS.
    • Ensures KIT Academy is up to date with all new LearnUpon features, functionality, and updates.
    • Recommends emerging eLearning technology to enhance the KIT Academy user experience.
  • Curriculum & Training
    • Partners with other departments to incorporate and properly format new or existing training materials.
    • Conducts Staff onboarding eLearning curriculum & training.
    • Creates end-user documentation and assists with the SOP documentation.
    • Corrects SCORM and Tin Can files produced in Storyline as needed.
    • Reviews courses and tests as Second Set of Eyes for functionality and ADA compliance
    • Manages the transcription process from course creation to implementation in KIT Academy with ADA compliance.
    • Maintains and organizes eLearning team digital assets including templates, video and audio files.
    • Assists with improved tagging and searching capabilities within KIT Academy and becomes familiar with the KIT course catalog.
  • Help Desk
    • Oversight of Help Desk with an eye on areas needing improvement in LMS to reduce trouble tickets.
    • Manages outsourced KIT Help Desk Support Team to ensure all escalated online learner issues are resolved.
    • Provides Tier 2 LMS support. \
    • Maintains a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers always
  • Editing
    • Edits and manipulates audio and video files, as needed.
    • Combines scripts/captions with videos: edits captions, adds branded video intros, and outros, makes minor cuts or revisions. Camtasia preferred.
    • Manages zoom mp4 and caption files.
    • Converts caption files from VTT to SRT or TXT files.
    • Manages the webinar post recording to eLearning publication process.

  • Education & Experience

    • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
    • Master’s degree in technology, Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum, or similar preferred.
    • 3 years’ experience working with Learning Management Systems, IT Help Desk, or Instructional Design.
  • Competencies &  Success Factors

    • Understanding of online learning technology, Instructional Design concepts and adult learning principles
    • Knowledge of disability inclusion standards, ADA, and WCAG.
    • Experience with LMS systems (publishing content, courseware management, reporting features, communication tools, adding resources, etc.)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • API experience a huge PLUS
    • Basic graphic design and video editing skills
    • eLearning software knowledge (Articulate Storyline 3 or 360)
    • Some familiarity with SCORM 1.2 preferred
    • Demonstrated strong problem solving and highly responsive with customer service mindset
    • Preferred software skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Salesforce, Camtasia, YouTube Studio, PPT, and Trello.
    • Quality Matters knowledge and experience a plus
    • Excellent organizational skills, consistent attention to detail, and able to meet deadlines
    • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a remote setting
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
